Does my child need to be a competitive swimmer to start?

Not at all! While basic water comfort is necessary, we specialize in “Water Polo Swimming.” We teach the specific strokes and treading techniques (like the eggbeater kick) that are different from traditional lap swimming. Many of our best players started as casual swimmers and built their endurance right here.

Yes. One of the greatest benefits of water polo is that it is a low-impact sport. Because the water supports the body’s weight, we avoid the “pavement injuries”—like shin splints, ACL tears, and rolled ankles—that are common in field sports. It’s a high-intensity workout that is gentle on growing joints and ligaments.

Water polo is the ultimate cross-training tool.

Endurance: It builds incredible “game-ready” cardio.

Core & Coordination: Handling a ball while staying upright in water develops elite hand-eye coordination and core strength.

Injury Prevention: It strengthens the stabilizing muscles around the shoulders and hips, helping to prevent overuse injuries when they return to their primary sport.

At the introductory levels (Grades 1-8), our focus is on fundamentals, teamwork, and fun. We use smaller, easier-to-grip balls and emphasize skill-building. Our coaches ensure a controlled, positive environment where safety and sportsmanship come first.

Very little! All your child needs is a swimsuit and a towel. We provide the balls, caps, and all necessary training equipment.
